Kasulu Health Home Based Care Organization (KAHHOBACO) is a non-profit civil society organization dedicated to enhancing healthcare access and promoting community well-being in the Kasulu District of Kigoma, Tanzania. Since its establishment in 2004, KAHHOBACO has been at the forefront of providing vital healthcare services and support to underserved populations in the region. As a registered NGO under Tanzania's Non-Governmental Organizations Act No. 24 of 2002, KAHHOBACO operates in close collaboration with various governmental bodies, including the health departments of the Kasulu Town Council. This partnership ensures that KAHHOBACO's efforts are aligned with national health priorities and complement the government's initiatives to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes. With a team of dedicated volunteers, KAHHOBACO implements a wide range of initiatives aimed at addressing the multifaceted health needs of the community. These initiatives include reproductive and child health care clinics, community health education programs focusing on disease prevention and control, home-based care and nutrition training for HIV/AIDS patients, diagnostic health laboratory services, and community mobilization efforts. KAHHOBACO's commitment to empowering communities extends beyond healthcare provision. The organization actively engages with local stakeholders, including Village Government Committees, to foster sustainable development and ensure the active participation of community members in health promotion activities.
